You are what you eat

"Bye!" I said, to my three friends, Cathy, Larissa, and Sally. "Bye, Melissa!" They said back. I saw my mom and said hi. She said the same thing back.

"Want a snack?" Mom said. I was hungry...really hungry.

"More than a snack." I said, as I slumped down on a chair inside my house. I was haggard...really haggard. More than haggard...more like - I think you get the idea. God.

Mom went to the kitchen, stayed there for like, twenty seconds. Then, came back with gummy bears.

"YAY! But I want more!!!" I said.

"Oh, ok, smelly!"

"Don't call me that!" I said. Here's the story of that stupid nickname; One day, I came back from Volleyball practice, and then I sat on a chair besides my mom. She asked me if something was smelling. Then after a second, she looks at me. "Melly, is that you?" (Melly was my nickname...do you get it? Melinda>melly) Asked my mom. Then she figures out that it is me because of my sweat. "We should name you Smelly" Mom said. And...well the name just stuck. And that is the story of "Smelly Melly."

"Smelly, time for dinner!" Mom said.
"What's for dinner?" I asked. I was picky about food. If I get something I don't like, then I just go to the trash can and dump it in there and eat some gummy worms. It fills me up and makes me burp a lot
"Chicken soup, Fiesta rice, and fruit." Said mom.
YAY! I jumped up and ran as fast as I could to the kitchen. I ate as fast as I could.

I smelled my hand. It smelled like peanut butter. I froze...if you smell like peanut butter, you are going to die of cancer. I immediatly got up to tell my mom.
I told her everything.
"you are what you eat" She says, trying to crack a smile.
